Earthcaches and virtuals are great because of education mixed with fun, but they miss being able to find things. I like caches that involve not a long walk, no dangerous activities involved and the possibility of a interesting container or a cache with possibly some fun swag. (my granddaughter calls micros no fun ones).

One I found and wished my granddaughter was with me was the Commissioner's Observatory GC1AMFV. It is on the beach, you can see the ocean form it, has some local history, easy to find, and usually has interesting swag.

Nick, good suggestion. We'll find a Geocache of the Week that's a great grandchild/grandparent outing for next week. Any suggestions?

I wish the Geocaches of the week featured more I could take my 7 year old granddaughter to and less 5/5 extreme caches. White they are interesting, I think granddaughter friendly ones can be interesting also.
