My family and I enjoyed our visit to Pigeon Island during a cruise line visit to Kusadasi in 2010. Late in the afternoon following a tour of the ruins of Ephesus, we came back to the ship and headed off on a short walk to the Island’s causeway access. With a delicious (cold!) double-chocolate ice cream bar in hand we strolled the castle grounds and made our find in the shade of the trees on the island’s north side. That’s my photo above of the the various geocoins and travel bugs I had along on ‘tour’ that day, including my signature 2006 GeocacheAlaska Wolf geocoin (TB164P6) which travels with me from cache to cache. Our ‘home away from home’ the Brilliance of the Seas is visible at dock – a lovely form of geocaching transportation! NorthWes
