Barely Coveted Prize

You’re encouraged to ‘influence’ the voting process (*nudge*nudge*). “Like” the caption that you think should win. If you think your caption should win, convince your fellow geocachers, your friends, and family to “like” your caption. Lackeys vote from the top finalists to decide the winner of the contest.

The winner receives the ‘barely coveted prize’ you see to the left, which may actually be quite coveted. It’s is a vintage ‘100 Years of Scouting’ Trackable.

  1. Mr Cache’s cabin continued to be visited by a steady stream of strangers mumbling about “muggles” until his wife said, “George, take down that stupid sign”

  2. Why does a Geocacher cross the road? Because his GPS pointed him that way! BTW nice sign!

  3. Cacher: Trust me. The cache is definitely to the left of the path.
GPS: I think you’re wrong. The cache has got to be right of the path.
Cacher: I don’t know who you think you are but Google Maps said the cache was to the left of the path… (Spots sign)
    GPS: I’m always right.
    Cacher: Well, I wouldn’t say always…

  4. Geocaching 101:

Sometimes in wooded areas, a GPS signal can become spotty. If this occurs, a cacher will oftentimes trust their “geosense” to locate the hidden cache. (see fig. above)
