Geocaching.com Caption Contest 30 – Win a Barely Coveted Prize
Geocaching can often be a search for what’s hidden in plain sight. Share your gift for clever captions in the 30th installment of our Geocaching.com Caption Contest. You could earn a barely coveted prize. What caption would you write for the picture above? The image was originally posted on our Geocaching.com Facebook page by Thorsten Skibba.
Submit your caption by clicking on “Comments” below. Please include your geocaching username in all entries. Then, explore the captions other geocachers have posted.
You’re encouraged to ‘influence’ the voting process (*nudge*nudge*). “Like” the caption that you think should win. If you think your caption should win, convince your fellow geocachers, your friends, and family to “like” your caption. Lackeys vote from the top finalists to decide the winner of the contest.
The winner receives the ‘barely coveted prize’ you see to the left, which may actually be quite coveted. It’s is a vintage ‘100 Years of Scouting’ Trackable.
More than a two dozen Lackeys voted to award the winner of the 29th Geocaching.com Caption Contest a barely coveted prize. Click on the image at right to discover the winning caption from the last Geocaching.com Caption Contest.

Do you think the Muggles know what that means? (theunknowns)
My GPS says it’s the other way – help me pull this out of the ground and turn it around…

Found without using a GPS = Smiley 🙂 by Funbro
I’m not quite sure it’s there, let me check my GPS. (myked)
It’s a lovely place . We buying a house there with a garage a shed and a small tree house … I believe they call it a multi- cache 😉
What do you mean there’s no money in it? I thought it was spelled, “Geo-cash!”
how come I never heard of geocaching before I started it?
A Muggle would assume ‘Geocache’ to be the name of the next city. We Geocachers know that this sign means something else. It means one of two things: 1) The geocache is to the right. or 2) The sign is only there as a distraction: the background is simply a large picture, and on the back of is it the log.

It’s a trick – my gps still says it’s 20 ft in the opposite direction!!
Additional Hints (No need to Decrypt! it can’t be anymore obvious)
“Following this trail, you’ll be sure to find some great geocaches.”
Direction to a whole new world of fun.
Oh, I thought this was a multi-cache, is there more signs?
Goblins, dwarves, elves, and geocachers, this way. (2pests)
OUCH! Who the heck put that sign there? It nearly poked my eye out…
Two paths diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled – it was the fastest way to the cache!
The cache is RIGHT THERE! Pull the plaque off the post – it’s a film can!
Who messed with the sign? Maybe a FTF in the river!

Wife: Look, Just ask for directions!
To bad that the Geocache “Cache Bay” GC40FD has been archived. This would have been a great log.
Can´t find this city on the map…
need to peek at the hint for this one (viqueen_fan3)
Huh, they moved the “idiots” path.
A sign of things to come !

” Hi, My name’s Liu Bolin and I’ve just taken up Geocaching!”
It really says “Muggles beware of cachers “
Thought this was a regular- cache and not a multi-. How on earth- is this possible? It’s virtually is an unknown- mystery- to me. Has anybody got wifi to check the status of this cache on the internet?

I can’t see the problem .. saves e-mailing the CO when we get home ?
and having to come back a second time .. be honest we’ve all done it
Look what we found on the blind as a bat trail.
Obviously the CO doesn’t understand the rules for HIDING caches.
