I met SuperGoober several months ago at one of the events he puts on for new people. Very helpful, answers questions and guided me to be more interested in learning the ins and outs of successful geocaching.

A great positive person! He is a “GOOD” know it all.

Look out Signal… SuperGoober may even give you a run for the money as a genuine Icon for geocaching. A signature photo documenting each of his finds challenges your ubiquitous association with the hobby. Seriously though, SuperGoober’s contributions, which include introducing this hobby to countless people (including myself) through his classes, numerous innovative hides, leadership in the regional Iowa Geocachers Organization, mentoring and encouraging of others (whether through chance meetings in the field, directly sought out, or through geocaching forums), make him an outstanding candidate for this tremendous honor. SuperGoober represents the highest standards for geocaching and earns my vote and respect for Geocacher of the Month .

My vote goes to SuperGobber.
For hosting 101 Events and tutorials. For taking people to his 5/5 caches. For his fun and all levels caches. And for the caches locations.

Our vote is for SuperGoober! The kids love his educational puzzles and finding his unique caches. He’s inspiring them to go into engineering/electronics.

With all the positive comments, all the candidates seem deserving. SupperGoober is still be my choice

The Lego Crew gives eight thumbs (and four paws) up for SuperGoober. There is very little that we can add about Jeff which has not already been said.

Jeff creates some of the most interesting containers and hides in the area. When heading out to search for one of his caches, one always knows they will leave with a smile on their face. Fore example, one of his unique caches include a container that opens using voice activation of a key word, while another makes use of a short-radius FM radio broadcast to get the final coordinates.

Jeff also takes more photos than any other cacher we have met. In fact, he has a photo of himself taken at each of his 3600+ finds. Few cachers are willing to lug around and set up a tripod for each of their finds.

In our opinion, SuperGoober is a great choice for cacher of the month. Within the caching community, he is a leader, a teacher, an engineer, and an inspiration to all.

I tried to post this a couple of weeks ago but apparently it didn’t take, so here goes again. This is a well-deserved recognition. SuperGoober is a super choice. I have corresponded with him many times over the years as he asked questions about unusual and creative caches he was thinking about placing. He has hosted lots of geocaching events and has been a leader in working with land managers to create special educational events that call attention to public lands and geocaching in general. I’ve had the pleasure of hiking with him on one of his “The Seige” cache hunts that he has organized. I’ve always found him to be super courteous and super friendly, even when he asked me for advice about how to deal with occasional poor behavior on the part of other geocachers. A true geocaching leader and gentleman. Two thumbs up. kbraband

I will toss another one to Goober. He helped me put on a 101 class/kick off event for a year long “project” to involve and teach scouts about geocaching.

Riddell here…
I am another Aussie that knows Jeff Goodson (Supergoober) on a personal level and would like to put my vote in for him.
Always helpful and gets things done.
If he says he will do something for you, you can be guaranteed he will do it.
Like myself, he is active in community work, conservation and the environment.
