I would like to recommend ervind for geocacher of the month. Ervind has placed 1000 caches for all of us to find and enjoy. The most remarkable thing about ervind's caches is that they are all active and well maintained. If a geocacher posts a DNF log ervind goes out within a few days to ensure that the cache is in place and makes repairs if necessary. All of his caches are active and in great shape. He's also a phenomenal recycler. Many of his caches use recycled materials to make them more eco-friendly and fun to find.

Additionally he is very creative in naming his caches - making it more fun to try and guess what we will be looking for when we get to the location. We always have fun finding ervind's caches and really hope that he is selected for Geocacher of the month.

Our vote goes to Ervind. He has done a lot for geocaching in Nova Scotia with over 1,000 hides, all well maintained and each one unique in its own way. But he also does a lot for geocaching in general, he is an amazing ambassador for geocaching itself. He is more than happy to explain this sport/activity/obsession to muggles (has turned many into cachers!), and is happy to assist both newbies and experienced cachers who are new to the area/visiting. He has a ready laugh, is lot of fun to be with (at events/gatherings/or just out caching) and he has a warm, open heart for friends/neighbors, or anyone (cacher or not) who needs a hand.

I vote for Ervind, he has made all of his caches fun to find, with some unique names and interesting spots. With 1000 cache hides, all active caches are able to be found, no caches are in poor shape. He takes maintenance very seriously and has been a mentor to many new cachers. He stays in contact with all is caching friends and is a real inspiration to all of us in Nova Scotia.
