Geocaching Caption Contest 15 – Win a Barely Coveted Prize

WINNING CAPTION:  Does this skirt make my cache look big? – ShellenPam

Try your caption writing skills in the fifteenth installment of our Geocaching Caption Contest.   You could win a barely coveted prize.  This photo of an unusual lamp post cache comes courtesy of the ventura_kids.

What caption would you write? “Lamp post caches keep getting easier and easier.”  You can do better!

Submit your caption and see what captions other geocachers have suggested. Please include your geocaching username in all entries.

You can also help sway the vote.  “Like” the caption you think should win.  If you think your caption should win, convince friends and strangers to vote for your caption.  Lackeys will then decide between the top captions to crown the winner of this Geocaching Caption Contest.

  1. At least the DOT Road Construction Crew left the cache when they replaced the light post with a smaller one! ~BMAN

  2. Log- Coords off for me on this one. After expanding search to a 50′ radius, I made the find!

  3. The difficulty was set at 5 and I laughed when I saw the ammo box. I was struggling to remove the lid which appeared to be glued shut when my husband noticed a small waterproof container dangling from the lightshade above.

  4. It took longer then it should have to find as I started searching where my GPSr led me but then found it quickly after my geosense kicked in

  5. Make sure you check those bolts and under that skirt. I don’t want to DNF this one too. FOUND IT!! Ouch Nevermind. Watch out for the hornets nest.

  6. DNF – After spending 15 minutes plus looking, we decided to give up and have a go another day.

  7. My GPS’r is making me do the drunken bee dance and my geosenses are worn out. Where the hell is this thing?

  8. The biggest issue is the one the whole world is facing, and that’s habitat destruction.

  9. No matter where you go and what you do in America, you turn a cornor on and you’re confronted with geocaches.

  10. So, my tactic with conservation of geocaches is to get people excited and take them to where they hide.

  11. Actually I ran away from home when I was made. No one could find me, and the police were called. I was just hiding under a little lamppost, and went to sleep…

  12. Another DNF, searched for the usual container, perhaps it was muggled by whoever left this metal box.

  13. More disturbing evidence that steroid use by Geocachers has reached a new level. When will Groundspeak step in ?

  14. Once there was a cacher man
Got pissed up with an stupid film can
    Wanted a LPC with regular-size
Muggled it got and cacher cries:
“Oh noes, it had lots of price!”

  15. I was getting ready to post Does this skirt make my casshe look fat? and luckily i saw your post first.

  16. Difficulty 5, Terrain 1 – the difficulty is in getting the cache hidden back in its original spot.
